Sarah sat in the corner of her bed with a pillow propped up between her head and the headboard, she sat with her legs crossed with old family photo's sitting on her lap. She placed a picture of her thirteenth birthday on the bed that was covered in pictures of her and her mother, Catherine. It had already been four days since she had returned home from her late fathers house in Oklahoma. Sarah played with the embroidered flower on her bed spread as a single perfect tear rolled down her cheek. These pictures brought back so many memories, and mixed emotions. It had been years since her mothers death but she still missed her so much. She sat expecting a call from her brother's lawyer that would let her know that the closing on her fathers house would have been completed. Her mind had began to slip into an all too familiar place. Sarah got up from her bed, the pictures sliding down her legs hitting the floor. She leaned over her bed and flung her arm across, photo's flying in all directions. She ran to the bathroom and put on the shirt and jeans she had placed on the counter two days before when she had blown off a night out at the bar. Sarah grabbed a hair tie and began to pick up her long golden hair as she headed for the door. The phone began to ring as she neared the table that held her purse and keys. Sarah paused briefly. Picking up and answering that phone call would be confirming the fact that everything that was tied her to her past was now gone. Sarah walked out the door and didn't look back.
